My name is Henry Collins, I’m a designer and sculptor based in Bristol, United Kingdom.
I thrive on pushing boundaries, taking risks, and reveling in the beauty of mistakes. It is through these trials that I have honed my craft, developing a stubborn persistence that drives me to create.
My journey is a fusion of hands-on craftsmanship and cutting-edge digital design. From the art of steam bending wood to the precision of CNC fabrication, I have mastered the art of bringing ideas to life, from concept to installation.
What sets me apart? My relentless pursuit of the unique. Rather than taking inspiration from outside sources, I forge my own visual language through material-led experimentation - a library of forms that embodies the essence of my creativity.
Drawing on my background in fabricating large-scale sculptures for renowned hotels such as the Andaz Hotel in Tokyo and the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair in London, I've carved my own path, crafting installations in Norway and bespoke sculptures for restaurants across England.
My current work focuses on the beauty of bending green wood, harnessing its natural moisture and minimizing the energy associated with production.
